Overview.

Our IT Department is currently looking to recruit a Field Support Engineer to join our rapidly growing team. In this position, you will be responsible for providing 1st 2nd to 3rd line onsite support to our customers throughout London.

Skills and experience.

To be considered for the role of Field Support Engineer, you must have the following knowledge, skills and experience:

    • Working on Microsoft 2003/2008/SBS/TS server installation projects
    • Excellent desktop trouble shooting skills
    • Knowledge of server technology, including MS Exchange and SQL Server
    • Experience of Active Directory and group policies
    • Experience of troubleshooting TCP/IP, DNS etc
    • Experience with SDSL, ADSL and leased line technology
    • Experience with firewalls and router configuration
    • Experience of using backup hardware and software such as Backup Exec
    • A track record of implementing Anti-Virus software

You will need to work well under pressure and have the ability to prioritise your work to meet SLAs. Excellent communication skills are also key.  Although not essential, it would be beneficial to have any Microsoft qualifications (MCP, MCSE etc).

We are looking to recruit a graduate to join our rapidly expanding IT helpdesk support team. If you are bright, enthusiastic, reliable and looking to develop a successful career in the IT industry then we want to hear from!

The job specification.

The successful candidate will be required to work from our remote support office that is located in Chingford, East London.

You will be working in a busy, high-pressure technical support environment, providing first line telephone, email and remote support directly to our clients.  You will also become involved in the setup and configuration of a diverse range of computer systems.

Working closely with other members of the help desk team, you will be exposed to a number of technologies, including Microsoft operating systems and applications, cloud-services, networking equipment, desktop computers, laptops and servers.

Senior Technical Support Engineer.

Overview.

We are currently looking to recruit a Senior Technical Support Engineer join our friendly professional team at our head office in Chingford. In this challenging but rewarding role,  you will be responsible for providing 3rd line support to the helpdesk team and managing our hosted infrastructure.

Skills and experience.

To be considered for the role as senior technical engineer, you will require the following skills, knowledge and experience:

  • Strong knowledge of Exchange 2010 and 2013 in a DAG Cluster including via the Exchange Management Shell (Powershell)
  • Comfortable with using Powershell
  • VMware Vcenter server and Esxi 5.5 experience.
  • Ahsay Online Backup including an understanding on the OBS
  • Comfortable with Website hosting involving MySQL, IIS, Filezilla FTP and Windows DNS.
  • Ability to move a website from one host to another including migrating MySQL databases.
  • OpenVPN Appliances
  • Comfortable with supporting a Terminal Server (RDP) environment
